Tank Tales Pt. 3: The End and Return of Jugzwei

It is not the complete end of the road for Darrken and his AE Tank Pwnage, but luckily we were able to recruit some tanks.  I have had so much fun Leveling him that I will continue to do so albeit at a slower pace.  I’ll continue posting updates on Darrken as I hit milestones.

But because of the release of Patch 2.4 today, I brought Jugzwei back into the fold to return to doing his dailies.  Now that there is less pressure to level Darrken.  What can I say about Sunwell.  It was quite hectic today and I imagine will be for the next few weeks.  I got the first few rounds of  dailies complete and because of the high population of the Thrall server I think we will progress quickly to unlocking the rest of the quests.

I plan on going out and picking up the Tier .5 PvP gear for Jugzwei so I can start doing BG’s again, the AV queue was only 3-4 minutes today.  Much lower then the previous wait times of 2 hours.   Ill gets some pics of his Welfare Blues when I can.

Tank Tales Pt. 1: The Forest of Evil

The Forest of Evil:

What I consider the Forest of Evil would be Tirisfal Glades and Silverpine forest. Where I am leveling Darrken to 20. I did my first 6 levels on Sunstrider Isle but upon hitting level 6 I quickly bolted for Silvermoon to take the Orb of Translocation to Undercity. I wanted the UC rep for my level 60 mount. I am not a big fan of the pally mounts or the Blood Elf mounts(if i was interested in riding a chocobo I would still play FFXI). I am making an exception with the level 40 mount because, hey, it’s free. Upon reaching level 20 I will head over to Kalimdor to take advantage of Jame’s Horde Leveling Guide. It came highly recommended by a fellow guildmate who leveled his lock to 70 in no time flat using it, Ryuq.

Darrken Current level: 15

When all else fails roll your own

Recruiting tanks is one of the toughest aspects of being a GM so when they don’t come rolling in you need to find alternatives to keep your guild from falling apart. What do I do? Well I roll my own tank for the guild. Being as mages and Shadow priests are a dime a dozen on just about any realm, Thrall being no exception I thought a tank would be more more of a value. Introducing Darrken. Named from the ultimate fantasy villian Darken Rahl from Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth Series. I will post regular updates on Darrken as we rush him to 70 so we can start some guild progression.
